AfD Nomination: Peter Merrigan

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Peter Merrigan meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Peter Merrigan. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Accounting4Taste:talk 16:20, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New articles

[edit]

I had not looked at the Afd and did not get to answer you there, and I hope answering you here is OK, if not, please say so and I won't pester you any more.  :)

I would say that there is not enough there for a Wikipedia article, today... one ordinary editor opinion, it and $6 will get you a Starbucks coffee as long as you don't go for the complex stuff. I think that if you stub it up, someone will kill it. Idea: build up the officer sections in the main article, over time, as you get sources. Eventually, someone will whine about wp:undue weight in the article on the officer.

No matter what, I thank you for creating the article, and I enjoyed working on it and learning a microscopic bit about the business, its people, and its industry. I hope you will make many more Wikipedia edits on other articles. Welcome, and please don't let being with the decided-against opinion be a downer. Your main article survived, and I light-heartedly hope you are pleased with it, even though it is not exactly what you hoped it would be. All the very best. sinneed (talk) 01:48, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
